8 Life-Altering Ways to Recharge Your Personal Hope Level! 



 Being at the beach revives my hope!

Do you feel a bit depleted of your hope these days? Have you gone into the stores and found that everyone around seems to be droning away and going through the motions?

Our masks have not only covered up our mouth and noses, they have covered up our smiles too, and this has affected our social and emotional wellbeing. A social sadness, if you will.  It’s draining and straining…our hope!

HOW TO Reignite YOUR Hope

One dictionary defines hope as, “a feeling of expectation; a desire for something to happen”.

When our expectancy, or “expect-and-see” level is low, we FEEL some sense of hopelessness. Our Hope Meter registers low, if you will.

 One of my primary strengths is Positivity, and one of my character strengths:  Zest! You can't even say those words without thinking good things!

Go ahead and say it, you know you want to…ZEST! (You can't be down to long repeating this word!) 

To me, a BIG part of my personal hope is...

holding on to a positive attitude about a brighter future. Sometimes, I use self-talk and positive affirmations to declare my own sunny day. I brighten up others and the FEELINGS follow.

 

When you and I FEEL HOPE-FULL, it drastically alters the way you see your world!

How do I do this? This is MY HOPE Generator-I recommend it to you too! 

  1. Openly and out loud (usually at home when I first get up in the morning) declare that this is a great day and great things are going happen to me and through me today!
  2. Pray, praise, and get excited about your blessings and thank God!
  3. Smile a few times a day so big that your eyes smile to others!
  4. Turn on some comedy! Watch a video or movie and just…laugh!
  5. Speak 3 encouraging words to others everyday!
  6. Hug you spouse, kids, grandkids, and pets everyday!
  7. Exercise, get some sunshine and produce some vitamin D
  8. Sing, shout, dance and get enthusiastic about something good!
